Our long-awaited cotton and wool ruana highlights the deep tradition of weaving excellence in Oaxaca artisan communities of Teotitlán del Valle. Our first ruana, The Classic, highlights our constant commitment to research and collaboration. The process takes time, in this case over a year, as our team studied samples of vintage Mexican serapes and then incorporated new ideas unique to our artisan team to create a piece that is classic, yet new. The hand stitching and hand woven macrame offer a lovely contrast against the smooth weave of cotton and wool. A heritage piece to enjoy and hand down to others, the Classic Ruana is, in a word, special.
